Ten Days Northbound

Opening muster in Ocean City. Departure thereafter by road, bridge, ferry, bicycle, and whatever else the coast requires.

OCT 18 SUN

JERSEY SHORE TO GATSBY COUNTRY

Asbury Park and Sandy Hook stops, Sands Point Preserve on Long Island’s Gold Coast, then a proper arrival at Oheka Castle.

OCT 19 MON

GOLD COAST TO GREENPORT

Old Westbury Gardens or Vanderbilt Eagle’s Nest, the mandatory Big Duck photograph, then Greenport harbor at golden hour.

OCT 20 TUE

NORTH FORK AND SAG HARBOR

Horton Point, farm stands, Shelter Island ferries, and a sunset sail on the bay before returning to Greenport.

OCT 21 WED

FERRY TO NEW ENGLAND

Orient Point car ferry to New London, Mystic Seaport at midday, Watch Hill in late light, then onward to Newport for two nights.

OCT 22 THU

NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND

Kiel James Patrick at Bowen’s Wharf, Cliff Walk and The Breakers, Ocean Drive, and Castle Hill Lighthouse at sunset.

OCT 23 FRI

NEWPORT TO NANTUCKET

Rough Point or Fort Adams in the morning, drive to Hyannis, fast ferry to Nantucket for two nights, and Brant Point at dusk.

OCT 24 SAT

NANTUCKET ISLAND

Bike to Sconset, Sankaty Head Light, the Whaling Museum, and an evening among the cobblestone streets.

OCT 25 SUN

HOMEWARD BOUND

Dawn on Main Street, morning ferry back to the mainland, then Boston to Miami.
